Albert Samuel Nipper (born April 2, 1959) is a Major League Baseball coach and a former pitcher who played for the Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Indians. Al Nipper played for the Red Sox from 1983 to 1987. He played for the Chicago Cubs in 1988 and for the Cleveland Indians in 1990. He finished with a career record of 46-50 and a 4.52 earned run average. Nipper graduated from Hazelwood West High School in Hazelwood, MO and Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri (Formerly Northeast Missouri State University). He is a close friend of pitcher and former Red Sox teammate Roger Clemens.
